1/23 Portrait of Ginger
Our most gracious thanks to local portrait artist Susan Goard, of North Myrtle Beach, (tel 843-424-3865), who has donated this magnificent portrait of Ginger with a young boy, a local leukemia patient. Susan has captured the magic of Ginger's soothing comfort, and we will cherish her gift every day. Thank you!!!!!

1/22 Meet Junior:
Junior is a 2 year old pedigree miniature pinscher donated to Canine Angels by Ms. Rose Mellor of Conway, SC. Since arriving last month, Junior has been fully vetted, neutered, and basic obedience trained, and is a welcome addition to the Canine Angels pack. He is a sweet and gentle boy, and confident to fit in with the bigger kids..... He is a super cuddler, and loves all dogs and children.

Canine Angels serves our community in many ways. In addition to training shelter dogs to become working service and companion dogs to our disabled American veterans, our pups perform many other services, such as therapy dog visits to nursing homes, hospitals, private homes, surgery waiting rooms, and day care centers. We also participate in school reading programs for children who are having some difficulty, either in reading aptitude or in self confidence; the children read to the dogs, who represent a non-judgmental, non-critical, and impartial audience. We also make frequent presentations to schools, clubs, organizations, and to just about anyone who is interested in our work.
If you would like a Canine Angels visit to your group, PLEASE do not hesitate to contact us on the last page to schedule a date.
