Canine Angels, Inc. - FREE SERVICE DOGS FOR DISABLED VETERANS
        about our founder......

Rick Kaplan has been a professional trainer of working service dogs for the disabled for over twenty years. He has trained dogs to assist people with hearing disabilities, seizures, PTSD, and stability and mobility issues.  He has, along with his two personal chocolate labrador service dogs, Fred & Ginger, developed a method of dog training, or behavior modification, that connects instantly with a dog's natural inborn canine instincts, and has the power to establish an immediate pack heirarchy between the dog as the subordinate pack member, and the human as the alpha leader.  With this relationship established, a true natural identity is created almost immediately, which flows into a reliable and effective teaching method that produces instant results that the dog actually enjoys.

Rick's personal goals for this mission are:

To assist disabled American veterans in overcoming limitations and returning to a meaningful civilian life.

To demonstrate his deepest appreciation for the ultimate sacrifices veterans have made for our safety and freedom;

To save the lives of worthy dogs who have been destined to shelters, and to give them a lifetime purpose of serving their new Alpha, as a united team, in their hearts, and under the Federal Law entitled The Americans With Disabilities Act.
